Hari minggu kami makan di gereja. Urap sayur is a Javanese salad: steamed papaya leaves, green beans, and bean sprouts with urap (my favorite), a mix of shredded coconut turned red with chilies. Tofu and tempe cooked with spices and coconut milk, hard boiled eggs, chicken, and crunchy kerupuk (rice crackers) are spread out evenly on top of banana leaves for easy sharing.
